Canadian Network for International Surgery (CNIS)
The CNIS is a nationwide non-profit organization that promotes surgical care through surgical and obstetrical skills training. Our vision is to empower people and create an environment where the risk of injuries is minimal and everyone even those in low income countries has access to adequate surgical care.

Global Nursing Citizens (GNC), UBC-O
We are a group of 4th year UBC-O Nursing students who will be travelling to Zambia leaving on January 28th, 2010. We will be guided by two extremely experienced Registerd Nurses, both of whom are inspirations to all of us.

In April 2008, the Faculty of Health and Social Development, UBC-O signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zambia (UNZA). OkaZHI is working closely with UBC-O to support and help coordinate its efforts under this MOU.
