Chairman Linda Hawker and Secretary Joan Bottorff completed their two year terms and stepped down.  OkaZHI is very grateful for the direction and hardwork of these individuals, without which our organization could not have gotten off the ground.  It was fitting for Treasurer Kevin Blackmore to have been able to announce the obtaining of charitable tax status before the new board elections and both Linda and Joan can leave their positions with the constitution, bylaws and CRA tax stutus achieved.  Jobs well done!!!

As we are a volunteer NGO, we have many opportunities for persons of all skill levels to help out.  If you or someone you know is looking to get involved with a fantastic group of people we would love to hear from you.  You do not have to be  from a medical or nursing background.  We need help in many areas from our website, communications & newsletter, fundraising, program development, and probably other things we don't know about yet!
