KELOWNA, BC - This Thursday, an amazing fundraising effort for health care in Africa will be unveiled. The launch of this innovative health initiative is led by local and renowned Canadian thoracic surgeon Dr. Bill Nelems, and is a story about this active, 70-year-old surgeon committing to a 4,500 kilometre bike trek across sub-Saharan Africa from Zambia to Capetown, South Africa.
The launch event will include extraordinary details about the cause, the unbelievable challenge Dr. Nelems is embarking on to raise funds and specifics about how the public at large can get involved.
